Just as the series was wrapping production, a brush hearth wrecked almost all of the outdoor set on Oct 9, 1982. The hearth was prepared into the final episode "Goodbye, Farewell and Amen" as a forest fire attributable to enemy incendiary bombs that compelled the 4077th to move out.
